Community Support Services for Adults

Recovery is the central principle of our Adult Community Support Services program for those individuals with severe and persistent mental illness. Clinical care teams use state-of-the-art, evidence-based practices to provide therapy, case management services, medication management, as well as assistance with vocational goals, housing and other life-management skills. The goal is to support successful integration into the community, minimize dependence on the mental health system and improve functioning and overall quality of life. In 2008, Greater Nashua Mental Health was selected by the New Hampshire Bureau of Behavioral Health as the pilot site for the implementation of ACT – Assertive Community Treatment, which is a team-based approach to delivering comprehensive, flexible treatment and support to individuals with the most severe and persistent mental illness.
