Community Connections For Youth

Community Connections for Youth is a intervention program for youth with mental health issues who are in, or at risk for entering, the juvenile justice system. Before court involvement, at arraignment, or at sentencing, youth with delinquency charges (ages 11—16) petition are directed to the program manager, who performs a mental health evaluation, makes appropriate referrals for therapy and/or other services, and monitors the contract signed by the youth and parents. Referrals may come from the court, juvenile probation, the police, the school, and parents.
